Performance

Whether you’re driving on the highway, or cruising around the windy roads up upstate New York, you’re sure to be thrilled with the impressive performance that the Jaguar XE offers its driver.

The base model comes with the brand new 2.0-liter turbo-4, which produces 247 horsepower and will run 0-60 mph in less than 6-seconds. Another option that Jaguar offers their customers is their turbodiesel engine which makes 180 horsepower and accelerates to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds. If you’re looking for something even more powerful, the powerful 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine is for you! This engine produces 340 horsepower which will get you from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.5 seconds. For the first time, the 2018 XE is also available in S trim, which bumps the already sufficient power of the V6 to 380 horsepower. All models come connected to a smooth-shifting 8-speed paddle-shifted automatic transmission and are available with all-wheel drive.

Looking for more control with your vehicle? The XE’s Adaptive Dynamics allows drivers the ability to customize the engine and suspension settings and, while it comes standard on the S trim, it is available on all trims.

Technology

As we’ve already established, the 2018 Jaguar XE is available in a variety of trim and powertrain choices, with all- or rear-wheel drive available on nearly all models. The new turbo-4 and existing diesel models come in all-wheel and rear-wheel drive and are now available in the R-Sport trim level. The V-6 models are not offered in base trim but start with the Premium trim level and topping out with the Limited Portfolio Edition.

Base models come with 17-inch wheels, power features, cruise control, automatic climate control, eight-way power front seats, fixed rear seat, paddle shift controls, synthetic leather, sunroof, LED taillights, and keyless ignition. A responsive 8.0-inch touchscreen also comes standard in all XE models for 2018 as well as Bluetooth with audio streaming and USB connectivity.

If you’re looking to upgrade the 8.0-inch touchscreen, you can opt for the InControl Pro which bumps the screen size to 10.2 inches and adds navigation, mobile hotspot, and remote vehicle control features via a mobile app. New for 2018, the InControl Pro option also comes with a new 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, which delivers full-screen navigation and customizable gauges in front of the driver. These upgrades are available on all trim levels.

Premium models come with everything in the base model, please a folding rear seat, a rearview camera, and a 380-watt audio system with 11 speakers. Also, if you go with the 4-cylinder, you’ll get 18-inch, and if you go with the 6-cylinder engine, you’ll get 19-inch wheels.

The Prestige package adds navigation with voice control, metallic trim, leather, power front seats, heated steering wheel, keyless entry, and heated front seats. And you’ll have the same wheel options as we outlined in the Premium trim description.

Lastly, the R-Sport trim level adds blind-spot monitors, parking sensors, forward-collision warnings with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warnings with active lane control, satellite radio, automatic high beams, LED daytime running lights, sport seats, and front and rear bumpers as well as side sills.

Of course, all models come with Jaguar EliteCare, which offers bumper-to-bumper warranty and maintenance for 5 years or 60,000 miles. This is reason enough to seriously consider Jaguar above its luxury rivals who do not provide anything like this.
