Review: 2017 Jaguar F-PACE

Features

The F-PACE has five trim levels, including two sport (R-Sport and S) and three luxury (F-PACE, Premium, and Prestige). The base F-Pace has a 5-inch full color touchscreen display, InControl Touch infotainment, 380-watt Meridian Sound System with 11 speakers and subwoofer, HD Radio, Bluetooth connectivity, InControl Protect emergency assistance, and InControl Remote smartphone app that gives you vehicle information at a glance. It also features HomeLink universal transmitter, push-button start, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and cruise control. 

The F-PACE also has available InControl Pro infotainment with 10.2-inch touchscreen display, 835-watt Meridian Sound System with 17 speakers and subwoofer, Sirius Satellite Radio, navigation with SD card-based mapping, WiFi 3G hotspot for three months, and gesture-activated tailgate. 

Interior

The F-PACE is lush and comfortable even for the tallest drivers. It has a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, 8-way power adjustable passenger’s seat, 40/20/40 rear folding seats, overhead JaguarSense lighting, and automatic air conditioning with solar
sensing, filtration, and dual temperature control. Drivers also have the option for 14-way power adjustable front seats, 4-way power lumbar support, three-stage heated front and rear seats, ventilated and cooled front seats, and four-zone AC with glove box circulation. 

Engine

You have three engine options when shopping for an F-PACE. The diesel option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 180 horsepower and 318 lb-ft of torque, going from zero to 60 in 8.2 seconds. Meanwhile, the 3.0-liter V6 all-wheel-drive supercharged option makes 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, getting up to 60 MPH in 5.4 seconds. The F-PACE S and First Edition models also have a supercharged V6, making 380 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque and going from zero to 60 in 5.1 seconds. 

Safety

All models of the F-PACE have whiplash reduction system, ISOFIX child seat tethered-anchorages, airbags throughout the cabin, tire pressure monitoring system, and automatic speed limiter. It also has a range of available driver assistance technologies, including blind spot monitor, rear parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, Surround Camera System, Park Assist, 360 Park Distance Control, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with forward alert, autonomous emergency braking, driver condition monitor, and head-up display.
